SJGAA

I am working at a place called the San Jose Glass Artist Alliance in downtown San Jose. I love it!
www.sjgaa.org (the picture shows some of the gigantic fusing kilns and a mural that Janett painted.

What's been going on...

Weekend before last, Mark and I went to visit the Computer History Museum and got to see the Babbage Machine. *Geekout* It's quite a contraption, actually. Beautiful in action and design. Very steampunk. Then it was off to Kim's to make more murrini! This isn't the whole batch of murrini that was made but this was about two day's worth, I think. There will be some beautiful blends coming in April. Yummy!
While I was at Kim's, I got my nose pierced! It's very out of character for me but I had been thinking of doing it for quite a while. I think it's pretty and very tiny so you can't even see it until you are REALLY close to me. Finally, I put a couple new things up on the front page (also known as the FREE SHIPPING page) of my website. http://www.loribeads.com/ Hope you are having a great Monday!

We've finished one blend! It is bright and fun. I think tomorrow we will do a silver glass blend.
Now, bed time. Sweet dreams everyone!

Fun day

The beads of the day are taupe and turquoise. Yum. You can find these at my Artfire store www.loribeads.artfire.com .

I spent the afternoon/evening at the http://www.sjgaa.org/ building stuff and making Bullseye glass components to be fused later. It was so much fun! I hope the stuff I made comes out ok. I really like the colors I used so I have high hopes. :)

I will be doing a torchworking demo during http://www.southfirstfridays.com/ so if you are in the San Jose area this Friday, please drop by and see us between 8pm - late. :) I will be making glass bunnies, I think. That's the plan, anyway.
